Tappi is an Italian restaurant that is the labor of love of its owner, John Bonica. Featuring wood-fired cooking and recipes from John's family roots on the island of Filicudi (an island near Sicily), Tappi is a warm and inviting place that stands out as a long-time supporter of creative music. If you love superb wine with your jazz, Vin du Lac Winery on Saturday nights is the place to be. There is a reason their wines are making waves in the Northwest-- they are truely outstanding. Speaking of waves, the views of Lake Chelan are stunning and the food is gourmet. I usually play in a duo, and feature a variety of fine players from around the region, including Steve Sanders and Roger Vandivort on bass, Wayne Mendro on woodwinds, Glenn Isaacson on keyboards, and others.
